I used a palette that feels both grounded and alive...mixing cool tones with heat, texture with movement...because that’s what it feels like to lead with instinct. It’s not about being perfect… it’s about being in motion. It’s for the innovators, the visionaries, the ones who always feel a step ahead.
 
This is one of those pieces that speaks even louder the longer you sit with it. It’s bold, layered, and meant to hold presence in a space.

The Process Behind the Work

Each artwork begins as an original painting by JD Shultz, created on canvas or plexiglass using layered acrylic techniques.

Plexiglass pieces are painted on the reverse side, building the image back-to-front to create depth, clarity, and a luminous finish.

​

Mixed media works are developed from the original painting and enhanced through layered materials and finishes — preserving the integrity of the original while adding dimension and presence.
