"Winter" Original Painting (48" x 48")

Acrylic on Canvas | 48 x 48 in | Signed | One of a Kind

This piece is a storm of feeling wrapped in stillness. In Winter, JD Shultz invites you into a frozen dreamscape...where color and contrast echo the quiet power of transformation. Deep cobalt and icy turquoise swirl around a glowing sphere, anchored by bursts of neon and layered texture.

It’s introspective, moody, and luminous... a visceral experience of the season’s raw, reflective beauty.

This is a one-of-a-kind original... rich with depth, movement, and emotion... created to anchor a space with both calm and presence.

🎨 There’s only one. Own it before it’s gone.

The Process Behind the Work

Each artwork begins as an original painting by JD Shultz, created on canvas or plexiglass using layered acrylic techniques.

Plexiglass pieces are painted on the reverse side, building the image back-to-front to create depth, clarity, and a luminous finish.

Mixed media works are developed from the original painting and enhanced through layered materials and finishes — preserving the integrity of the original while adding dimension and presence.
