"A Moment In The Past" (30" x 60")

Original Painting | Acrylic on Plexiglas | 30" x 60" | Signed | One of a Kind

“A Moment In The Past” is a visceral journey through memory, emotion, and time. With bold lines, fractured expressions, and a chaotic beauty layered into the background, this piece captures the fragmented yet powerful nature of reflection.

Rendered in JD Shultz’s signature energetic style, this large-scale canvas is a powerful conversation piece...raw, expressive, and deeply human.

Other Available Formats

Limited Editions

These are premium prints produced in limited quantities from the original artwork. They are signed by the artist and represent the closest expression to the original outside of a one-of-a-kind painting. The artist only signs and prints 30 pieces.

Mixed Media

Mixed Media pieces begin with a high-resolution print of the original artwork on plexiglas. Each piece is then hand-embellished and painted, adding texture, depth, and subtle variation so no two are exactly the same. Because of this hands-on process, mixed media works feel very close to an original painting.

The Process Behind the Work

Each artwork begins as an original painting by JD Shultz, created on canvas or plexiglass using layered acrylic techniques.

Plexiglass pieces are painted on the reverse side, building the image back-to-front to create depth, clarity, and a luminous finish.

Mixed media works are developed from the original painting and enhanced through layered materials and finishes — preserving the integrity of the original while adding dimension and presence.
