"Dare to Dream" Artist Proof

“Dare to Dream” | Mixed Media on Canvas | Limited Edition Artist Proof

This piece born from the wild edge of transformation. The butterfly emerged as a symbol of possibility… a reminder to keep going, to keep believing, to keep creating even when the world feels uncertain.

This limited edition Artist Proof captures the original energy of the painting...but with a fresh dimensionality. JD adds hand-painted elements to each proof, layering it with new textures and intuitive strokes that make every piece unique.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to trust your wings, this is it.

This museum-quality artist proof brings JD’s signature depth and energy into your space... printed on your choice of fine art paper or plexiglas for a polished, gallery-ready look.

The Process Behind the Work

Each artwork begins as an original painting by JD Shultz, created on canvas or plexiglass using layered acrylic techniques.

Plexiglass pieces are painted on the reverse side, building the image back-to-front to create depth, clarity, and a luminous finish.

Mixed media works are developed from the original painting and enhanced through layered materials and finishes — preserving the integrity of the original while adding dimension and presence.
