"Day Trip" Artist Proof

Mixed Media on Canvas | Hand-Embellished & Signed by JD Shultz

A collector’s edition with JD’s personal touch…This Day Trip Artist Proof blends the vibrancy of a high-quality print with the spontaneity of original art. JD hand-paints select areas of each Artist Proof, adding texture, energy, and depth... making every piece uniquely different.

The result? A one-of-a-kind mixed media work that radiates color and emotion, just like the original.

🎧 Every Artist Proof is slightly different, painted by hand to give you something original.

The Process Behind the Work

Each artwork begins as an original painting by JD Shultz, created on canvas or plexiglass using layered acrylic techniques.

Plexiglass pieces are painted on the reverse side, building the image back-to-front to create depth, clarity, and a luminous finish.

Mixed media works are developed from the original painting and enhanced through layered materials and finishes — preserving the integrity of the original while adding dimension and presence.
