"Off The Record" Artist Proof

Artist Proof | Mixed Media on Canvas | Signed + Hand-Embellished by JD Shultz

Inspired by vinyl, vibration, and the raw poetry of sound...This Artist Proof edition of Off The Record brings JD’s signature bold energy to life in a rare collectible format. Printed on canvas and hand-embellished with paint by JD Shultz, each piece in this exclusive proof series carries its own unique touches... making it truly one of a kind.

Layered with rhythm, texture, and movement, this piece evokes the feeling of being lost in a record store, headphones on, world off. With warm golds, earthy undertones, and pops of aqua and magenta, it speaks to those who listen between the lines.

🎧 Every Artist Proof is slightly different, painted by hand to give you something original.

The Process Behind the Work

Each artwork begins as an original painting by JD Shultz, created on canvas or plexiglass using layered acrylic techniques.

Plexiglass pieces are painted on the reverse side, building the image back-to-front to create depth, clarity, and a luminous finish.

Mixed media works are developed from the original painting and enhanced through layered materials and finishes — preserving the integrity of the original while adding dimension and presence.
