"The Cove" Artist Proof

"The Cove" | Artist Proof | JD Shultz Art

A hidden sanctuary…"The Cove" invites you into a vivid, abstract escape... where texture, movement, and color collide in a way only JD Shultz can create.

This piece feels like stepping into nature’s dream state...bold orange bursts, vibrant pinks, and soft turquoise skies give way to layered texture that pulls you deeper the longer you stare. It’s wild and grounded… playful and powerful… abstract and emotional.

This museum-quality artist proof brings JD’s signature depth and energy into your space... printed on your choice of fine art paper or plexiglas for a polished, gallery-ready look.

“My art isn’t meant to blend in. It’s meant to wake something up inside you.” ~ JD Shultz

The Process Behind the Work

Each artwork begins as an original painting by JD Shultz, created on canvas or plexiglass using layered acrylic techniques.

Plexiglass pieces are painted on the reverse side, building the image back-to-front to create depth, clarity, and a luminous finish.

Mixed media works are developed from the original painting and enhanced through layered materials and finishes — preserving the integrity of the original while adding dimension and presence.
