"The Rest" Artist Proof

"The Rest" | Artist Proof | by JD Shultz | Signed (1 of 30)

This Artist Proof is a collectible edition of one of my most intimate works, “The Rest.” It captures the moment of stillness after the chaos… the quiet that speaks volumes.

When I painted this piece, I wasn’t trying to force an outcome...I was letting the space lead. And somehow, in that space, everything clicked. That’s the energy this AP carries.

Each Artist Proof is printed on premium canvas, signed, and individually numbered (1 of 30). It comes ready to hang and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Whether you’re drawn to the message or the motion, this piece has a way of meeting you exactly where you are.

“My art isn’t meant to blend in. It’s meant to wake something up inside you.” ~ JD Shultz

The Process Behind the Work

Each artwork begins as an original painting by JD Shultz, created on canvas or plexiglass using layered acrylic techniques.

Plexiglass pieces are painted on the reverse side, building the image back-to-front to create depth, clarity, and a luminous finish.

Mixed media works are developed from the original painting and enhanced through layered materials and finishes — preserving the integrity of the original while adding dimension and presence.
