"The Search" Artist Proof

Archival Print on Wood Box | Limited Edition Artist Proof | Hand-Signed by JD Shultz

A collector’s favorite... now available as a hand-embellished artist proof. The Search captures the raw, textured emotion of JD Shultz’s original work… now reimagined as a mixed media piece with JD’s personal hand-painted touches layered over an archival-quality print. Each artist proof carries the same intensity and depth... with added dimension from the artist himself.

🎧 Every Artist Proof is slightly different, painted by hand to give you something original.

The Process Behind the Work

Each artwork begins as an original painting by JD Shultz, created on canvas or plexiglass using layered acrylic techniques.

Plexiglass pieces are painted on the reverse side, building the image back-to-front to create depth, clarity, and a luminous finish.

Mixed media works are developed from the original painting and enhanced through layered materials and finishes — preserving the integrity of the original while adding dimension and presence.
