I painted The Wall from a place of deep respect for what this space holds. What moved me wasn’t just the structure itself, but the energy around it...the layers of history, devotion, and humanity that live in and around the stone. I wanted the wall to feel solid and timeless, but also alive… shaped as much by the people who gather there as by the stone itself.
 
I used expressive color and movement in the sky to contrast the weight of the wall below. The brushstrokes are active and layered, reflecting the constant motion of prayer, footsteps, and presence. I wasn’t trying to create a quiet scene. Jerusalem isn’t quiet. It’s charged, emotional, and full of life.
 
This painting is not meant to document a moment in time. It’s meant to capture the feeling of standing there...the sense that you’re in a place where countless stories, hopes, and prayers have passed through long before you arrived.
