"What's Inside" Artist Proof

"What's Inside" | Artist Proof | by JD Shultz | Signed (1 of 30)

Acrylic Print on Canvas | Signed & Numbered | Certificate of Authenticity Included

“What’s Inside” was born from pure emotion... layer by layer, thought by thought. This piece carries the energy of unfiltered creation. It’s chaotic, alive, and deeply personal.

When I created it, I wasn’t trying to impress or perfect… I was trying to feel. To let something unspoken speak through the brush. The colors clashed and danced until they found their rhythm — like the way the soul finds truth in contradiction.

This Artist Proof is #1 of 30... printed with the highest fidelity to capture every brushstroke, texture, and moment. It’s more than a reproduction. It’s a portal into the original emotion that moved through me when I painted it.

The Process Behind the Work

Each artwork begins as an original painting by JD Shultz, created on canvas or plexiglass using layered acrylic techniques.

Plexiglass pieces are painted on the reverse side, building the image back-to-front to create depth, clarity, and a luminous finish.

Mixed media works are developed from the original painting and enhanced through layered materials and finishes — preserving the integrity of the original while adding dimension and presence.
